I received a comment that I felt I should answer in my blog:
I hope my post did not come off as anything but "in love" or in anyway lacking respect. I believe I stated at the opening that I was "challenged" and therefore answered.
The Bible strictly says to "Be ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within you to those who ask." 1 Peter 3:17
It does go on to say, however, to do this in gentleness and respect.
Great words to remember, indeed.
Did my words change the man's opinion? Probably not, but then again, that is not my job. My job is to be ready to give an answer. Which I did, both on my blog and direct conversation.
